Ringing in the New Year

Happy New Year from Argentina!

On New Years Eve we had the opportunity to visit the house of Raul Fossati for a celebration. It was a wonderful time and we were able to learn about the culture of Argentina from having conversation  with Raul's family. Communication is not always easy but it is very fun and rewarding once the message we were trying to convey was understood. We discussed farming, schools, music, government, hobbies, sports, and culture with Raul's family and got to better understand the people of Argentina. We had a meal of pork grilled with various sauces made in Raul's beautiful backyard. Raul's family is extremely welcoming and they are excellent hosts. Many of us enjoyed the opportunity to converse with students from universities in Buenos Aires who were friends of Raul's daughters. At midnight we were able to watch fireworks from the town from Raul's backyard. We are extremely excited to be able to see our new friends again when we have the opportunity to visit their feedlot this Saturday and have a BBQ super with them.

Best Wishes,Taylor Jensen
